X-Dipole: Far-field simulations; 40m band.
(Calculations performed using EZNEC+ v5.0)

Simple dipole feed:

N and S wires driven.
E and W wires unconnected.

Model: x45dipole.ez
(simulation frequency set to 7.1MHz).

Slice along NE-SW line.

Splayed dipole feed:

N and E wires joined
S and W wires joined.

Model: x45splay.ez (simulation frequency set to 7.1MHz).

Slice along NW-SE line.

Double-T feed:
N and S wires joined.
E and W wires joined.

Model: x45_2T.ez (simulation frequency set to 7.1MHz).
Enhanced low-angle radiation.

Slice along NE-SW line.

Yagi Feed:
Inductively loaded reflector.

Model: x45_yagi_32uH.ez (at 7.1MHz).
L = 32mH.

Slice through the SW - NE direction.

Skewed Yagi Feed:
Additional capacitor improves back rejection:
Model: x45_skyagi_32uH_15pF .

2+1 Asymmetric feed:

Model: x45_2plus1.ez .

Maximises radiation in one quadrant.

1+2+L Asymmetric feed:

Model: x45_Uasym_G-L.ez .

Phasing inductor maximises radiation in one quadrant and increases rejection in opposite quadrant.

2+1+L Asymmetric feed:

Model: x45_Nasym_-GL.ez .

Phasing inductor maximises radiation in one quadrant and increases rejection in opposite quadrant.
